Construction of Temporary RMU (Ring Main Unit) Foundation – UAE

This scope of work covers the construction of a temporary foundation and associated civil works required for the installation of a Ring Main Unit (RMU) to provide interim power distribution. The works shall comply with applicable UAE regulations and utility authority standards (such as SEWA, DEWA, FEWA, or ADDC).

Scope of Work Includes:

• Site Preparation:

  • Clearing and leveling of the designated RMU location

  • Excavation and ground preparation as per design depth and soil conditions

• Foundation Works:

  • Construction of a reinforced concrete foundation, typically using M25 grade concrete (or as per approved drawings)

  • Installation of formwork and steel reinforcement per structural design

  • Casting of RCC with proper compaction and vibration to avoid voids

• Embedded Provisions:

  • Conduits or sleeves for incoming/outgoing cables

  • Earthing points or grounding strips integrated as per electrical drawings

  • Mounting bolts or base plates for RMU installation

• Finishing and Curing:

  • Curing of concrete to achieve design strength

  • Surface finishing and leveling to meet RMU mounting and alignment requirements

• Coordination & Compliance:

  • Coordination with electrical teams for proper alignment and interface

  • Ensuring compliance with authority regulations (e.g., DEWA/SEWA) regarding clearances, access, and safety

• Dismantling (if required):

  • Safe removal of the temporary RMU and its foundation post-project completion

  • Restoration of the site to original or specified condition

All works will be carried out in accordance with approved method statements, safety regulations, and authority guidelines.
