Construction of New Transformer Foundation (600 × 800 cm)

This activity involves the construction of a new transformer foundation with dimensions 600 cm × 800 cm, designed to accommodate a heavy-duty power transformer. The foundation will be constructed using reinforced cement concrete (RCC) and engineered to meet the structural and load-bearing requirements of the transformer and associated equipment.

Scope of Work Includes:

  • Site Preparation: Clearing, excavation, and leveling of the foundation area as per approved drawings and geotechnical recommendations.

  • Formwork & Reinforcement: Installation of shuttering and steel reinforcement as per the structural design. Reinforcement will be placed with appropriate cover and binding to ensure stability and load distribution.

  • Concrete Works: Supply and casting of RCC using appropriate concrete grade (typically M25 or higher), with proper compaction and vibration to avoid voids.

  • Embedded Provisions: Incorporation of necessary embedded items such as:

    • Anchor bolts

    • Cable entry sleeves

    • Earthing terminals

    • Oil drainage and bund walls (if required by design)

  • Curing & Finishing: Adequate curing of concrete to achieve required strength. Surface finishing will be done to specified levels and tolerances.

  • Testing & Quality Control: Includes slump tests, cube compressive strength tests, and dimensional checks to ensure compliance with project specifications.

All works will adhere to applicable civil, structural, and electrical standards and safety regulations. The foundation will be handed over ready for transformer installation upon completion.
